R. Bray McDonnell, graduate of SVdP School and Golden Gate Boys Choir School, more recently a graduate of George Washington University, will perform an organ concert at SVdP on Friday, June 18th at 7:00 p.m.
Bray will be back in town from Washington DC, where he is the music director at Saint Mary, Mother of God Parish,
Bray recently supervised the refurbishing of the pipe organ at the church in DC, and when the work was completed, he performed this same concert to inaugurate the completed work on the historic instrument.
Joining Mr. McDonnell at the concert will be Diana Gomez *, for many years the flautist and group leader for the instruments at the SVDP Sunday evening Mass.
The Saint Vincent de Paul pipe organ was built by the firm of Visser/Rowland of Houston, Texas and is maintained by the Schoenstein Organ Company of San Francisco.

- Ave Verum Corpus (Near)
- “Little” Fugue in G Minor (Bach)
- Le Banquet Celeste (Messiaen)
- “Gigue” Fugue in G Major (Bach)
- A Communion Prelude (Callahan, flute + organ)
- A Pentecost Prelude (Callahan, flute + organ)
- “St. Anne” Fugue in E flat Major (Bach)
- Carillon de Westminster (Vierne)

* Recently retired from a 30-year career directing Bands, Orchestras and Jazz Bands in the San Francisco Unified School District, Diana Wyneken Gomez is currently off the podium and performing on flute and piccolo. She received her BM in Flute Performance from San Francisco State University in 1976, and did continuing study at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying under Paul Renzi and Lloyd Gowen of the San Francisco Symphony, with Master Classes under Jean-Pierre Rampal, Julius Baker and Marcel Moyse. Her most recent work in large performing groups includes the San Francisco Wind Ensemble, The Golden Gate Symphony Orchestra, the Oakland Municipal Band, San Francisco Civic Symphony, and various freelance work around the Bay Area. She spends time playing chamber music with Zephyrus Woodwinds, and maintains musical relationships with churches and choirs around the Bay Area.
